1. Al-Fatihah
الفاتحة“The Opener”
This Surah is named Al-Fatihah because of its subject matter. Fatihah is that which opens a subject or a book or any other thing. In other words, Al-Fatihah is a sort of preface.(Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi - Tafhim al-Qur'an - The Meaning of the Quran)

All Verses
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allāh,1 the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.2
bis'mi l-lahi l-raḥmāni l-raḥīmi
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
[All] praise is [due] to Allāh, Lord1 of the worlds -
al-ḥamdu lillahi rabbi l-ʿālamīna
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,
al-raḥmāni l-raḥīmi
مَـٰلِكِ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ
Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.1
māliki yawmi l-dīni
إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
It is You we worship and You we ask for help.
iyyāka naʿbudu wa-iyyāka nastaʿīnu
ٱهْدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ
Guide us to the straight path -
ih'dinā l-ṣirāṭa l-mus'taqīma
صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ ٱلْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have earned [Your] anger or of those who are astray.
ṣirāṭa alladhīna anʿamta ʿalayhim ghayri l-maghḍūbi ʿalayhim walā l-ḍālīna
