82. Al-Infitar
الإنفطار“The Cleaving”
It is derived from the word infatarat in the first verse. Infitar is an infinitive which means to cleave or split asunder, thereby implying that it is the Surah in which the splitting asunder of the sky has been mentioned.(Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi - Tafhim al-Qur'an - The Meaning of the Quran)

All Verses
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ
When the sky breaks apart
idhā l-samāu infaṭarat
وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ
And when the stars fall, scattering,
wa-idhā l-kawākibu intatharat
وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ
And when the seas are erupted
wa-idhā l-biḥāru fujjirat
وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ
And when the [contents of] graves are scattered [i.e., exposed],
wa-idhā l-qubūru buʿ'thirat
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ
A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back.
ʿalimat nafsun mā qaddamat wa-akharat
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ
O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous,
yāayyuhā l-insānu mā gharraka birabbika l-karīmi
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?
alladhī khalaqaka fasawwāka faʿadalaka
فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ
In whatever form He willed has He assembled you.
fī ayyi ṣūratin mā shāa rakkabaka
كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ
No! But you deny the Recompense.
kallā bal tukadhibūna bil-dīni
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَـٰفِظِينَ
And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers,1
wa-inna ʿalaykum laḥāfiẓīna
كِرَامًا كَـٰتِبِينَ
Noble and recording;
kirāman kātibīna
يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
They know whatever you do.
yaʿlamūna mā tafʿalūna
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ
Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure,
inna l-abrāra lafī naʿīmin
وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍ
And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire.
wa-inna l-fujāra lafī jaḥīmin
يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense,
yaṣlawnahā yawma l-dīni
وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ
And never therefrom will they be absent.
wamā hum ʿanhā bighāibīna
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?
wamā adrāka mā yawmu l-dīni
ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?
thumma mā adrāka mā yawmu l-dīni
يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ
It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allāh.
yawma lā tamliku nafsun linafsin shayan wal-amru yawma-idhin lillahi
